This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information through enriveralaw.com, our online forms, scheduling and intake tools, SMS program, and related interactions that refer to this Policy. It also describes choices and rights that may apply to you.
This Policy addresses website and intake information. Information collected after an attorney-client relationship begins may also be governed by engagement agreements, professional duties, court rules, legal privileges, and separate notices. Where those protections impose stricter requirements, we follow them.

Depending on the matter, this may include immigration history, citizenship or nationality, family information, government identifiers, employment and financial information, health or disability information, criminal or court history, information concerning abuse or victimization, and other sensitive facts. Do not submit highly sensitive information through a general web form unless instructed to do so.

Cookie and similar-technology information used to operate the website, remember choices, measure performance, prevent fraud, and understand site use. Where required, we request consent before using nonessential technologies.

2. Sources of Personal Information
We collect information directly from you; automatically from browsers, devices, cookies, and similar technologies; from people acting with your authorization; from referral sources; from service providers supporting intake, scheduling, communications, security, or analytics; and from public or government sources when permitted by law and relevant to a requested service.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to respond to inquiries; schedule and manage consultations; perform intake and conflict checks; evaluate whether we can assist; communicate about appointments and administrative case matters; provide and improve legal and support services; operate, personalize, analyze, and secure the website; process applications for employment; maintain records and consent evidence; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce agreements; protect legal rights; comply with law, court orders, professional obligations, and regulatory requirements; and carry out other purposes disclosed when information is collected or with your consent.
We may create aggregated or deidentified information that cannot reasonably be linked to you and use it for lawful business purposes. We will not attempt to reidentify data treated as deidentified except as permitted by law.
4. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to attorneys, employees, contractors, and affiliates who need it for the purposes described in this Policy; vendors that provide hosting, forms, scheduling, communications, case management, e-signature, document storage, payment, translation, analytics, cybersecurity, customer support, and similar services; professional advisers and insurers; courts, government agencies, law enforcement, or other parties when required or permitted by law; and counterparties or successor organizations in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of the Firm, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal obligations.
We may also disclose information at your direction, with your consent, or as reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, property, or security of the Firm, our clients, website users, or others. Service providers are expected to use personal information only for contracted purposes and to protect it appropriately.
We do not sell personal information for money. If any website technology is treated as “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under an applicable privacy law, we will provide any notice and opt-out method required by that law.
5. Mobile and SMS Information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of disclosure described above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text-message services needed to operate the SMS program.
We use mobile numbers and SMS consent records to provide customer-care communications you request, maintain opt-out records, troubleshoot delivery, document consent, prevent misuse, and comply with law and carrier requirements. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance, or call 703-349-0888.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The website may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies. Essential technologies support functions such as security, form operation, language settings, and network management. Analytics technologies help us understand traffic and performance. Embedded content or third-party features may allow their providers to collect information under their own privacy policies.
You can control many cookies through browser settings and, where offered, the website’s consent controls. Blocking cookies may affect site functionality. Browser privacy signals are handled as required by applicable law.
7. Legal Bases Where Applicable
Where a law requires a legal basis, we process personal information as necessary to take steps at your request, perform a contract, comply with legal and professional obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as responding to inquiries and securing our systems, protect vital interests, establish or defend legal claims, or act with your consent. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis, but withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing or processing supported by another legal basis.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including intake and conflict checks, legal services, recordkeeping, consent and opt-out records, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and compliance with legal, ethical, tax, insurance, carrier, and professional obligations. Retention periods vary by information type and relationship. We consider the sensitivity and volume of information, risk of harm, purpose of processing, and applicable requirements. We may retain limited information longer when necessary to preserve conflicts records, legal rights, privilege, or suppression and opt-out lists.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No website, storage system, or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use the secure communication method designated by the Firm for sensitive records and notify us promptly if you believe information sent to or from the Firm has been compromised.
10. Your Choices
11. Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information; to learn about categories of information and disclosures; to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; to limit certain uses of sensitive information; to withdraw consent; and to appeal a denied request.
To submit a request, call 703-349-0888 or write to the address in the Contact Us section. Describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate relevant records. We may verify identity and authority before responding. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification.
Rights are not absolute. We may deny or limit a request when permitted by law, including to protect another person’s rights, comply with professional obligations, preserve attorney-client privilege or work-product protection, maintain conflicts and legal records, secure systems, prevent fraud, or establish and defend legal claims. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
12. Children
The public website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. The Firm may represent or assist minors in appropriate matters, including Special Immigrant Juvenile Status matters, but such information should be provided by or with the involvement of a parent, guardian, authorized representative, or legal professional through a Firm-approved process. If you believe a child submitted information improperly, contact us.
13. Third Party Websites and Services
Links, embedded content, scheduling tools, maps, social media, and other third-party services are governed by the third party’s privacy practices. We are not responsible for a third party’s site or practices. Review the third party’s notice before providing information.
14. International and Interstate Processing
The Firm is based in the United States. Personal information may be processed in the United States and in other locations where authorized service providers operate. Privacy protections may differ across jurisdictions. Where required, we use appropriate measures for cross-border transfers.
15. Privilege and Professional Duties
Nothing in this Policy requires the Firm to disclose information protected by attorney-client privilege, work-product doctrine, duties of confidentiality, court rules, or other legal protections. This Policy does not expand or reduce any professional duty that applies to the Firm.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in practices, technology, services, or law. We will post the revised Policy with an updated effective or last-updated date. If required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
